2008
Box Tops celebrates reaching the $250 million mark, continuing its tradition of making a difference for schools, teachers and kids,
year after year. Nestle® Juicy Juice® joins the family of Box Tops products.
2007
Box Tops launches the Box Tops Book Club to enable schools to earn through the purchase of quality titles at great prices.
2006
At the 10-year mark, more than 90,000 schools have earned over $175 million through the Box Tops for Education program.
Ziploc®, Hefty® and favorite brands from Kimberly-Clark are added to the ever-growing list of participating products.
2005
Box Tops has now helped our nation’s schools earn over $130 million and includes over 86,000 participating schools. For the
first time ever, the program expands to include brands outside of General Mills.
2004
The Box Tops program grows to include over 82,000 schools and with donations totaling more than $100 million. Over 100
billion Box Tops have now been redeemed by America's schools.
2003
Box Tops for Education donations top $90 million to over 77,000 participating schools.
2002
Box Tops doubles in size to include Pillsbury®, Progresso®, Old El Paso®, Green Giant®, Totino’s® and Gold Medal® products.
Box Tops coupons are now found on more than 4 billion packages in grocery stores across the nation.
2001
Box Tops introduces an additional way for schools to earn the extra cash they need—shopping online through the Box Tops for
Education MarketplaceSM.
2000
Schools redeem more than 100 million Box Tops coupons, earning Box Tops schools $10 million in just one year.
1999
By its third year, Box Tops for Education boasts cumulative donations of over $25 million to schools. Box Tops coupons are
standardized at 10¢ each.
1998
Now a nationwide fundraising program, more than 30,000 K-8 schools redeem Box Tops coupons. The program expands to
include select foodservice products.
1996
General Mills proudly launches Box Tops for Education in California on Big G cereals like Cheerios®, Total®, Lucky Charms®
and other family favorites.
